Fourth of July Recipe
I posted this picture on Facebook yesterday
and had several people interested in the recipe. Then I took the dessert to a picnic and came home without leftovers. I had a lot of requests for a recipe so here it is. I got the original idea from somewhere on Pinterest and I'm probably breaking some terrible law for not citing the original recipe.
Ingredients:
1-2 packages of refrigerated Pilsbury Sugar Cookie dough (I used 2 and had extra cookie bases but 1 wouldn't be enough)
8 oz cream cheese
1 container Cool Whip
Fruit (I picked festively colored fruit but the recipe I saw used something else)
Directions:
Make 1 inch balls with the cookie dough, flatten them, and put 1 in each cup of a muffin tin. Bake according to package directions. The cookies will turn into little cups that can then be filled. When the cookies cool, carefully remove them from the muffin tin. Beat together the cream cheese and Cool Whip until well blended. Place filling into a plastic bag, cut the corner off the bag and pipe the filling into the cookie cups. Decorate with fruit. Then be prepared to amaze your friends and family with this culinary deliciousness.
