Happy Birthday Marcus!

Today my little baby turns 1 year old! I can't believe it! Mostly it seems odd since this time last year we didn't even know about him. He has been here for 5 months and he is already 1 year old. It has been the best time of my life, that's for sure!

We had a birthday party for him yesterday, so we could all rest up today. We were surrounded by friends and family and it was a wonderful day. The weather even cooperated so some people ventured out to the patio and back yard. We had yummy food and lots of cake! Marcus got his own "smash cake" that he attacked with two fists. We ended up eating cake around the same time that he would have normally had dinner so he was really hungry. I couldn't believe how much cake he ate! I thought for sure he would be up all night with a tummy ache. Nope. He must have been exhausted from playing with all his friends, family, and new toys and slept like a champ.
