Favorite Foto Friday #14 - Weirdo

This crazy dude, named Dean Tomasek, was the bass player in Will Hoge's band for quite sometime. No longer with the band, but I am sure he is as weird now as he was back then. After a show a couple years ago I saw him hanging around and got up the nerve to ask him if I could get a picture with him. During the first picture some weirdo girl I never met (and didn't care to meet) insisted that she be in the photo too. Finally got her to leave and I found myself being photographed (and hugged by) this weirdo of a guy.

The first time I met Marcus was in September of 2006. He was 5 1/2 months old and being held by his wonderful foster mother. Also present was the foster mother's daughter. I was so excited, overwhelmed, numb, scared, oblivious, and in love. This meeting was also the first time Marcus met his best friend still to this day, Bear, who you can see flopping around in my hand.

Yesterday was Earth Day. Show off a picture of something beautiful on this Earth.



Took this photo when Greg and I went bicycling (with the kids in the bike trailer) in October 2008 at Ohiopyle. We rounded a corner and the trail went straight ahead with the beautiful fall leaves on the straight trees on both sides as far as we could see. It was so breathtaking that I started to tear up. I only wish my photo could capture just how amazing this sight on Earth was.

Tulips always get me in the mood for spring. I bought this new vase a couple years ago and Greg surprised me with these beautiful tulips to put in my vase. The light coming in the skylight in our old house made the perfect beam of sunshine to put the flowers in.

Favorite Foto Friday #1 - You

I'm usually the one with the camera so I don't have too many pictures of me. Greg took this completely unglamorous photo of me in the summer of 2006. We took a mini vacation to Washington, DC and Annapolis, MD so we could spend some time together before becoming a family of three. I've been to DC several times but this was the first time I had seen the WWII Memorial. I probably shouldn't have put my feet in there but it was such a horribly hot day and my dogs were barking and... well... everyone else was doing it. Not a great picture but a great memory.
